- INTRODUCTION TO THE SACRAMENTS
  Preparation for the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation is part of the weekly religious formation program at the second and eighth grade levels. The preparation is designed to support families in preparing their children as they journey toward full initiation into the Catholic Church.
  
  First Reconciliation and First Eucharist
  Children who are in Second Grade in the Fall of 2026 are invited to prepare for and celebrate the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Preparation will be held during second grade class sessions throughout the school year.
  Children are expected to attend all classes and two retreat days (with a parent).
  One parent is expected to attend an information session, the two retreat days, and two Family of Faith GATHER nights or service trips with your child. More information about GATHER events and service trips can be found in the Parish bulletin.
  
  2026-2027 Information Sessions (For Parents-no RSVP necessary): 2026-2027 Retreat Sessions (For Parents & Children):
  • Sunday, August 16th, from 3:00-4:00 PM in Social Hall B104 January 23rd
  • Tuesday, August 25th, from 9:15 – 10:15 AM in Social Hall B104 April 24th
  • Thursday, September 3rd, from 6:00-7:00 PM in Social Hall B102

  Confirmation
  Those in grade 8 or older who have already received the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and Eucharist are invited to participate in the preparation and celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation. Preparation is on Sundays from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Confirmation preparation includes sessions for sponsors and/or parents. There will be seven sponsor/parent sessions. All candidates for Confirmation are expected to attend the retreat in November or March. Please click the link below to see all Confirmation-related dates.
